Hallways to Health: Creating a School-Wide Culture of Wellness

As a programme launched in 2013 with the support from the Kaiser's Permanent's Thriving Schools, Hallways to Health aims to deliver services and build partnerhips that go beyond the school infrastructure but calls for an all-encompassing inclusion of health in the classroom and other settings. 

The online toolkit “emboldens the school health field to adopt population-level, school-wide health and wellness initiatives.”

FitnessGram

Launched in 1982, the Cooper Institute developed FitnessGram, “a non-competitive health-related fitness assessment based on the scientifically established Healthy Fitness Zone standards in an effort to help schools evaluate and evolve their physical education programming into an education experience that supports the whole child.”
