The China Obesity Congress 2025 (COC2025), a landmark event for long-term obesity management, was held in Beijing, China, this August, along with an interactive and engaging SCOPE School.

Over the past several years, the COC has emerged as a national vital voice of obesity from cause and prevention to treatment. It has been the largest year of COC in scale since the establishment of the China Obesity Federation (COF), with more than 460 experts from over 20 countries and international organisations delivering more than 60 academic sessions, attracting nearly 1,500 attendees.

With a focus on ‘Obesity Requires National Awareness and Standardised Management’ this year, COC2025 has once again expanded and deepened its cooperation, further demonstrating the strengths of multidisciplinary collaboration.

The second SCOPE School in China was held on 14 – 15 August in Beijing as part of the COC2025, in collaboration with the Chinese Obesity Federation and the World Obesity Federation. Bringing together over 140 participants, the programme featured lively panel discussions, interactive case studies, and engaging exchanges between experts and attendees.

The event fostered valuable dialogue on obesity care and professional training, highlighting the growing momentum of SCOPE in China. Building on last year’s success, this edition marked another important step in advancing clinical education and collaboration.
