2022 in review: Our Members

News2022 in review: Our Members

World Obesity members represent diverse communities and specialisms, including healthcare professionals, lived experience advocates, academic researchers, policy and prevention experts, and more. Yet all share the same mission of curbing the rise of obesity and bettering the treatment available for those living with this disease.

Whether organising congresses, publishing scientific papers, developing policy consultation documents, or forming youth advocates, our members have been working at breakneck pace throughout 2022. Activities include convening around World Obesity Day, participating at the International Congress on Obesity, attending SCOPE Schools, developing training and webinars, pressing for national policy action and even consulting with Hollywood film production companies!

Read on below to see some of the fabulous work carried out by our members in 2022, from Australia to Argentina, and everywhere in between.
