With the obesity rate in some countries exceeding a quarter of the population, it is assumed that six months of clinical experience involves the treatment of patients with obesity. You do not need to work in a clinic to meet the experience requirement. When applying for SCOPE Certification, you should provide the following items to allow us to verify your experience:

  • A letter from your employer, on official institutional letterhead, outlining your experience managing patients with obesity
  • A copy of your degree in a relevant field (e.g. your medical diploma) if applicable
  • Contact details of two referees, with institutional email addresses (e.g. ox.ac.uk) who we may contact to verify your experience

SCOPE E-Learning is available in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. To change your account language, click on your name in the top-right corner of the web page then click 'account preferences'.
