SCOPE School Chile

May 27, 2025

This SCOPE School is a dedicated one-day programme within the XIII Annual Congress of the Chilean Association on Clinical Nutrition, Obesity and Metabolism.

SCOPE School Chile brings together renowned local and international experts to advance professional education in obesity care and strengthen the response to one of the most pressing public health challenges of our time.

The comprehensive agenda explores critical themes across public health policy, clinical practice, and the multifaceted comorbidities associated with obesity. Attendees will engage in insightful presentations, panel discussions, and clinical case studies led by experts including Dr. Ada Cuevas, Dr. Donna Ryan, Dr. Manuel Moreno, and others.

Key topics include:

  • Public policy and the implementation of Chilean Obesity Guidelines
  • Addressing stigma and treatment barriers
  • Comorbidities such as sleep apnoea, neurological effects and liver disease
  • Advances in pharmacological and physiotherapeutic approaches
  • Real-world case discussions to apply knowledge to clinical practice

The programme offers a platform for healthcare professionals to deepen their knowledge, exchange ideas, and promote a more integrated and evidence-based approach to obesity management in Chile and across the region.

This SCOPE School will represent an opportunity for both clinical and public health professionals, as well as people with lived experience and journalists, to increase their knowledge of obesity, interact with their peers, and share challenges and success stories.

Participants will receive 4 points towards SCOPE Certification.
