About the The Pacific Community (SPC), Public Health Division
The Pacific Community (SPC) is the principal scientific, technical and multilateral organisation supporting development in the Pacific region since 1947.
SPC's Public Health Division is dedicated to promoting and protecting health of the Pacific people through prevention and control of non-communicable diseases and associated risk factors. Combating the growing burden of obesity in the Pacific region is one of the organisation's key focuses.
SPC is a Full Member of World Obesity Federation.
