Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI)

Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI)
PHFI is working towards building a healthier India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology, and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi and was established in 2006 as a public-private initiative. It is governed by an independent board comprising senior government officials, eminent Indian and international academic leaders, civil society representatives, and corporate leaders.
Through its network of Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and specialised research centers, it plays a key role in training skilled professionals, generating evidence-based solutions, and supporting national and state-level health programs. The organisation collaborates with government agencies, academic institutions, and global partners (such as the World Obesity Federation), to address a wide range of health challenges, including infectious diseases, NCDs, and environmental health issues.
