Obesity Prevention and Control Section, Chinese Nutrition Society

The Obesity Prevention and Control Section of the Chinese Nutrition Society was formed in April 2021, on the occasion of the China Obesity Conference held in Xi'an.

Its vision is to face the challenges of obesity and related non-communicable diseases through scientific research and coordinated actions. The mission of OPCS-CNS is to promote innovative research, make high-quality training accessible to healthcare professionals, coordinate multi-sectoral and international collaboration, and promote rigorous health communication to the public in order to halt the rise of obesity in China, and to contribute to the global narrative.
