NCD Alliance in Georgia (NCDA Georgia)

NCDA in Georgia is a national coalition uniting civil‑society groups, professional associations, and public‑health experts to advance the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases. Founded in 2018, the Alliance works to strengthen advocacy, promote health equity, and support multisectoral action on major NCD risk factors—including obesity, unhealthy diets, and physical inactivity.
In recent years, NCDA Georgia has been deeply involved in shaping national policy dialogues, developing the National Advocacy Agenda of People Living with NCDs, and expanding meaningful public engagement in health‑decision processes. Their innovative community‑based approach to obesity prevention earned them the 2025 UNIATF Award.

Supported by a broad network of organisations and experts, the Alliance collaborates with government ministries, national disease‑control bodies, WHO, and other key stakeholders to build a future where preventable suffering from NCDs is greatly reduced. We welcome their diverse expertise spanning diabetes educators, clinicians, nutritionists, public‑health specialists and more.
