To coincide with World Obesity Day 2024, the Lebanese Society of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Lipids (LSEDL) organised a SCOPE Accredited event, Obesity Day 2024.


This event took place on 9 March in Lebanon and gathered over 150 attendees from various specialties, including endocrinologists, surgeons, internal medicine practitioners, psychiatrists, dietitians, medical students, and fellows. The event aimed to explore the multifaceted nature of obesity.

Esteemed local and international speakers delivered presentations, with Dr Sara Suliman, chairperson of the MENA Committee of the World Obesity Federation, delivering the keynote address.
