2021 in review: The Hungarian Society for the Study of Obesity (HSSO)
The Hungarian Society for the Study of Obesity had a significant amount of activity in 2021.
On World Obesity Day (4th March), the society organised several public and scientific events, and published the Global Obesity Forum Declaration.
On 7th-8th October, the society held the 8th Central European Congress on Obesity, which took place virtually. The main patron of the congress was the President of Hungary, Dr János Áder. The wide-ranging scientific programme included 58 presentations from 16 countries, and the abstracts were published in Obesitologia Hungarica.
