Mishell Mahabubul

Prior to joining the World Obesity Federation, Mishell completed her master’s degree in Public Health. She is fully fluent in Italian as she completed her studies in Italy before moving to London to pursue her degree in Biomedical Science.

Alongside her studies, Mishell was engaged with many volunteering services including Cancer Research UK and the Royal Voluntary Service where she worked as an NHS Volunteer Responder.

Mishell’s passion for data collection and analysis has led her to carry out various quantitative analyses as part of her MPH and BSc. This has included studying the relationship between indicators of quality of primary care in general practice and the rate of emergency admissions for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). She is also involved in the continuing development of the Global Obesity Observatory – World Obesity’s online interactive database of information about the prevalence and epidemiology of obesity.
