Michael Redmond

Michael Redmond is the Policy and Projects Coordinator for World Obesity, supporting policy development, stakeholder engagement (such as the WHO) and contributions to EU projects on obesity and nutrition.

Michael works on multi-partner projects, such as the Horizon 2020-funded CO-CREATE project, to engage young people on the topics of obesity and physical activity policymaking. In addition, he collaborates with colleagues on the interpretation and dissemination of research, data and wider obesity policy findings to specific audiences and stakeholders.

In 2017, Michael graduated with a BA Hons degree in European Studies from Trinity College Dublin, and later gained experience in integrated marketing communications campaigns.  Prior to joining World Obesity, Michael worked at a UK trade association for medical diagnostics in the Government and External Affairs team, holding responsibilities spanning policy analysis, public affairs and communications.

Michael has a strong interest in the future direction of health policy, its impact on patient care and the transformative power of advocacy.
