Jaynaide Powis

Jaynaide works at World Obesity as a Data & Evidence Manager, collaborating with in-country stakeholders to review how different health systems treat, manage and prevent obesity.

The aim is to be able to summarise how well obesity is accommodated for within health systems, and ultimately, to use findings to help improve the accessibility and affordability of obesity care for all.

With a degree in Biochemistry and a Masters in Public Health, Jaynaide has used her research skills in different settings, including clinical trials and the evaluation of public health programmes. Her key interests include non-communicable diseases, the social and commercial determinants of health, migrant health, health inequalities and qualitative research.
