How can we help you?

Our FAQS are here to answer any immediate questions you may have. Still need further clarification? Don't hesitate to contact us!

World Obesity Federation represents professional members of the scientific, medical and research communities from over 50 regional and national obesity associations. We create a community dedicated to solving the problems of obesity – this includes you!

Together we can achieve our mission to lead and drive global efforts to reduce, prevent and treat obesity.

We have multiple ways for you to get involved in our network. If you’re part of a patient organisation why not add it to our hub of patient organisations. Moreover, you can add your story to the portal. This will ultimately benefit others in your society seeking help. 

Even more exciting perhaps, you can attend one of the listed events, or participate in projects within the ‘Get Involved’ section of the website – they are all open to you!

You’ve come to the right place! The World Obesity Global Patient Portal is a hub of resources including advocacy training kits. These are all situated in the ‘Resources’ section of our website.

World Obesity has a number of ongoing project that would be of particular relevance to you plus we will be directing you to relevant projects run by our partners! Our MAPPS (Management & Advocacy for Providers, Patients and Systems) is a perfect starting point.

Of course, we would love to hear your story in any shape or form. The Global Patient Portal accepts written submissions if you are not comfortable in-front of/using a camera. We advise that you keep your story concise. Please also feel free to add an image to accompany your story.

Please note that we only accept submissions from individuals who are registered to the portal.

Unfortunately, our newsletters are only available to individuals that have signed up to our patient portal. Don’t hesitate to sign up – it only takes a few minutes!

You can explore our Interactive Obesity Atlas to gain insights into obesity prevalence worldwide, both for adults and adolescents. The Global Obesity Observatory not only has data on obesity statistics, but the drivers and impact of obesity at the country level. Use the interactive database to choose a map variant directly, or equally narrow down your search as much as you would like to.

World Obesity produces four academic journals on obesity. Published by Wiley, our journals are subject to rigorous peer review and contain the highest quality research on obesity and its comorbidities.
