The World Obesity Federation’s mission is to work with and through our members and partners, to achieve global obesity related targets including halting the rise of obesity, and to shape the global narrative.

This is achieved through research, education and policy focused on prevention and managing obesity in low, middle and high-income countries.

Where You Fit

In 2019 the new five-year plan for World Obesity Federation was approved following a consultative process involving members and stakeholders from across the globe. Central to this was recognition that members and patients, including those from low-, middle- and highincome countries, are central to effectively achieving common UN targets on addressing obesity. With new member organizations and a recognition that the voices and presence people with obesity in LMICs has largely been absent to date, WOF is working with partners and colleagues to engage and advance the needs of member organizations comprising professionals and patients. The person in this role will support and implement an overall strategy for member and patient engagement and expansion.
