Rachel Thompson

Rachel Thompson has experience spanning humanitarian, development and global health sectors, the common thread being a commitment to tackle inequity in global health and beyond. 

Rachel has worked with the Red Cross Movement and several NGOs in field-based roles across Africa and Asia. More recently, she worked on global health policy at Chatham House. Previous research projects have looked at family planning in Somalia, Kenya and India, malaria in Tanzania and the Greater Mekong Sub-region, the Ebola response in Sierra Leone, universal health coverage in Ghana, healthcare in conflict zones and the politics of non-communicable diseases.

Rachel is currently working on obesity and Universal Health Coverage, and the Global Syndemic of obesity, undernutrition and climate change.
