Claudia Selin Batz

Claudia is a Communications and Partnerships Officer at World Obesity, working with key stakeholders, primarily our members to achieve our objectives as an organisation.

World Obesity cannot work in isolation, and our members are a key group of international societies and individuals whose input we value. Moreover, Claudia works closely on our Global Patient Portal that was developed as a component of the MENA Patient Engagement Programme. The aim of the portal is to provide a dedicated area for those living with obesity and interested in patient advocacy. Ultimately to champion the patient voice.

With a degree in Biology and a Masters’ in Public Health, Claudia has worked on various community engagement initiatives. She has facilitated partnerships whilst coordinating events that target youth, with the aim of fostering a new generation of public health professionals. Her key’s interests include non-communicable diseases, universal health coverage, sustainable development and digital health.
