General Council
The General Council is the governing body of the World Obesity Federation, with a single member being drawn from each of our member organisations.
The General Council holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) and may hold additional meetings by petition. The AGM receives the accounts for the charity for the previous financial year, receives the Executive Committee’s report on the Federation’s activities, elects trustees to fill vacancies on the Executive Committee, appoints auditors for the Federation, and discusses and determines any other issues put before them by the Executive Committee.
Membership consists of one representative each from the Federation’s member organisations. Click on representative for information on a country's affiliate member group and their representative.
