The theme of this SCOPE School is - An obesity primer: from epidemiology to treatment

This one day SCOPE School aims to serve as a comprehensive "primer" in all aspects of the obesity epidemic, from its rising prevalence to current and future treatment options.
It will cover topics ranging from the reasons for the sudden increase in obesity rates in Greece and worldwide, factors contributing to its etiology, the pathophysiology of hunger and satiety, weight reduction for improvement in comorbidities, as well as treatment options, with a focus on new pharmacological options and the low penetrance of bariatric surgery.
The School serve as a live "handbook", imparting current concepts to clinicians and health professionals involved in the diagnosis and treatment of obesity.
Attendees of this event will earn 4 SCOPE points and 16 CPD points.

Registration is priced at £35/€42
Registration includes access to all scientific sessions, scheduled lunches and coffee breaks and attendance certificate.
Online registration is via MasterCard or Visa credit card only. We do not currently accept AMEX. Please contact scopeschool@worldobesity.org should you wish to pay via bank transfer.

/ Cancellation Policy
Cancellations will not be refunded unless cancellation is expressed in writing. Cancellations received prior to the 15th May 2017 will receive a refund minus a £15 administration fee. Cancellations received after the 15th May 2017 will not be refunded. Substitute delegates will be accepted but must be advised in writing. This event is supported by the Hellenic Medical Association for Obesity.
